集美北部新城区位于集美城区的东北面，集美文教区东侧，紧邻东海域和同安湾，规划总用地4.61平方公里。新城区是以居住为主，配套完善并包含部分区级公共设施的中高档居住社区，可供发展商贸、旅游和房地产项目。目前，嘉庚体育馆、大学湾房产、唐美房地产、凤麟花园等项目均已落户于此。此外，北部新城区将成为集美的医疗中心地区，厦门市第二医院、厦门市疾病预防控制中心及厦门市卫生监督所等医疗机构均设立于此。
North Jimei New Residential Zone is located in the northeast of Jimei , to the east of Jimei Culture and Education Zone, and near Donghai sea area and Tong’an Bay. It is designed to cover an area of about 4.61 square kilometers. It is a medium and top-grade residential area with comprehensive facilities and partial public facilities of Jimei District. It is suitable to developt business, tourism and real estate. The real estate projects of Tangmei and Daxuewan, Fenglin Garden and the Jiageng Stadium, all have been located here. In addition, the new zone will be the central area of medical treatment of Jimei District, with Xiamen No.2 Hospital, Xiamen Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Xiamen Branch of Sanitary Supervision having been located in this zone.
